Hi, I'm Kostya, a passionate climber and coach dedicated to helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential on the wall. As a Seattle native, I am a product of Washington’s incredible climbing scene. Growing up surrounded by some of the best indoor and outdoor climbing in the country has helped me develop a deep love for the sport, and a drive to share it.
My approach to coaching is built around intentional training — understanding why you're doing each session, not just what you're doing. Climbing is technical, physical, and deeply mental, and good coaching has to address all three.
I work with athletes competing at collegiate nationals, regionals, and other competitions, and with climbers who simply want to move better and enjoy the sport more. Both matter equally to me.
Currently I serve as the Head Coach of the Penn State Club Climbing Team, where I help student athletes develop strength, technique, competitive skills and a sustainable approach to the sport.
