Hi, I'm Kostya, a passionate climber and coach dedicated to helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential on the wall. As a Seattle native, I am a product of Washington’s incredible climbing scene. Growing up surrounded by some of the best indoor and outdoor climbing in the country has helped me develop a deep love for the sport, and a drive to share it.


I currently attend Penn State University, where I serve as the head coach of the Club Climbing Team. I work with collegiate athletes to develop their strength, technical skills, and mental game.


Whether you're just starting out or pushing through a new plateau, I bring the same energy and intentionality to every athlete I work with. My coaching philosophy centers on building strong foundations in both the physical and mental aspects of climbing. That way progress is sustainable and rewarding.

1-on-1 In-Person Coaching

In a world of online fitness services it can be helpful to get some real-time, in-person feedback. From technique/movement lessons to projecting feedback, in-person coaching is one of the best ways to improve your climbing.

Custom Programs

Fully-built personalized programs. A training blueprint built from scratch around your goals, schedule, equipment, and experience level. My plans include check-ins, program adjustments, unlimited direct communications, and any guidance I can give.

Technique Instruction

Generating tension, finding good body positions, and developing efficient movement are the things that make elite climbing possible. Through video analysis, in-person sessions, and/or technique drills, athletes will learn to apply their strength, climb longer, and unlock previously "impossible" moves.

Mindset & Habits

My goal is not for athletes to rely on me forever. I want my clients to build sustainable mindsets, habits, and routines so they can maintain a positive relationship with and passion for the sport. Consistency is the cornerstone of sports progression, so guidance on sustainability in the mental and lifestyle aspects of climbing is incorporated in all of my services.
